Birthday Bash

The whole of ACC, my clique, celebrated my birthday in advanced yesterday. We went to walk around Cineleisure, played arcade and fooling around. As for dinner, I had NYDC. Supposedly a Halal certified diner but found out its not. Nabe. But atleast I ddint eat anything porky.

Soo.. For my present, I have got ... a poster! Initially, I thought it was a Jessica Alba Sin City movie poster as they knew of my desire about that elusive treasure[why? you have to see the poster to know.] BUT turns out, it wasnt. I dont want to say what the poster content is. Lets just say the poster is rated R-21 and I kept it at the most isolated space in the house. Haha. But I like it though. =P

Watched Disaster Movie too. Super lame but seriously funny. This movie is the type of movie where you have to know whats going on with the Hollywood life to see the sarcasm in it. I like the parts where they took swipes on other celebrities like JT, Hannah Montana, Michael Jackson etc etc. I laughed so hard, I could pee!

Rounded off the night taking Neoprints! And no, I'm not proud to say that. Lol.

ACCs and some others wished me thru SMS. And special mention goes to Rina who gathered up her colleagues to sing me a birthday song via the phone during working hours! Aww. Thanks guys! =]

REAL friends always know what special event any date is instinctively. And I am glad to have such friends. They actually had the time to made their thoughts known.

19 and still not gaining any weight =/

Aku hungry
Check out Oasis new top! Wooots!! Subject to gender.

Anyway, I was on the bus today when a dad and his kid sat beside me. It was okay but the moment the kid opened his mouth, it was never on the verge of closing back! His mouth kept on going and going like a windmill, only faster and noisier, asking his old man random questions after random questions. At one point even the father seemed to grow tired of him, he ignored him for sometime before nodding incessantly just to please the kid. I was also equally annoyed that I wondered for awhile which other human could match his behaviour. My question got answered later when the pair finally alighted, much to my bemusement. At the back of kid's jersey prints the name "Raj". No wonder, I thought.

Title: I must join VE!!

I was called by this lady to come down for job interview for a company named venture. To my surprise, it was not a job that I thought it was. I was told on the phone that it would be conducting surveys on the streets. The lady who called me was super friendly. It was freaky. Then she started to intro some water products and her business plans. It doesnt look like any kind of business to me. I wanted to leave, but she persistently insisted that I go for their seminar or talk. Being a person that easily gives in to people, I went ahead. The event was like 3 hours! I wasted my time there. after the event she asked to sign some stuff. I declined, but she insisted that it was just an attendance sheet of prove for her superior that she is doing her job. The lights were dim and having bad eye sight didnt help me either. I pitied her so I signed anyways.

A few days later, this lady called me again and said that it was compulsory for me to come down for training and start my business. I was like hell! Since when did I signed up for this kind of shit! I went to their place in eunos and she showed me the paper that i've signed and sayed that since I attended the seminar and signed the attendence sheet which was actually an agreement for membership, I am obliged to join the company and it is a must for me to sell one mattress thingy or one big water thingy in one week. The attendence sheet was in a table with other people's name. I am not sure if the other names are real or not.

Is there anyone here who could help me? Can I report to the authorities? Is the so called contract considered as valid?

Devils demolished

The crunch match between the Merseysiders and the Manures saw Liverpool ran out deserving winners. I dont want to brag much, but Liverpool really dominated the match. Despite Manure's early opener, Liverpool managed to win. Now, how many times have you seen Manure lost a match, after scoring first??

Okay stop.

Spring cleaning around the house is ongoing, though after much procastination. This includes re-arranging the grandfather book shelf, wiping out dust in ultra secluded areas ( for God sake, whos gonna see them anyways?? ) and changing spoilt light bulbs. Ahhhh. There's so much work.

Anyway, I'm currently scouring the entire Jurong for a cheap rebonding place. So far, the aunty with wierd accent near my place is the cheapest with $80. Gotta look for more..

Men in shorts

Congratulations to Mr Roger Federer for winning his 5th straight US Open, which makes him just one cup shy of the legendary Pete Sampras record of 14. Federer was back to his usual best, handing his final opponent, Andy Murray, a devastating performance with 6-2 7-5 6-2. The match itself showed what Fed-Ex is all about: precise timing, sublime touch, flawless tennis.

To me, personally, he's still the best and with this recent win, he might just be number 1 back sooner rather than later. This is all bittersweet for him as he has had endured a very hard year. He crashed out of the Olympics to a rather lower opponent in the quarters, aggravating further his reputation as the number one tennis player. And then a week later, a Spanish clay-conqueror, with big biceps, took over his reign as the number one.

So its no suprise that immediately after Murray screwed a backhand to hand the cup to him, he rolled on the ground, fist clutched, emotionally knowing in his mind that he is still the best. And just like champions like him always does, they get up after a setback. And this win is just what Roger needs.

Don't get me wrong though. I still loveeeeeeeee Rafa Nadal. But its always interesting to see 2 great men battling for a title, which can only be good the competition and viewers.

Ah, shit. I crapped about sports again. I better stop de. Nites! Promise will update things in the future. A more general post. I swear. =D
