Random research
I was on my way to school this morning when I saw a scary-looking beetle, similar as in the picture above, standing motionless under my block[ the picture is from the net ].

Having done research on beetles for my Art project 3 years before and being such a loyal fan of the music band The Beatles [ i know got no link ], I identified the above species as the Stag Beetle.

The name itself came from the distinctive mandibles, which resembles the antlers of a stag. They often uses their jaw to wrestle other beetles over a domain, mainly for mating. Although they may look fearsome with the mandible, they are not usually aggressive towards the humans. So fret not.

Amazing creature huh?
