Post-exam

I’m feeling great. First of all, I’m done and over with Year 1. Hopefully, with the right results in relating to the major exams I last had the week before, Year 2 will start without me repeating any modules. Speaking of that, I’m not totally confident about 2 out of my 3 papers. So I just hope my CA results would back me up real good. Yeah.

So the day after the final day of exam, we decided to party. At Zouk. You know, it’s not like me. I know. I mean, clubbing and grinding random chick ass in the dance floor isn’t really my thing. Oh believe me, if I had my way, I would spend that entire day in a mosque praying rather than dancing whilst rubbing crotch against girls’ butt for 4 hours. But after the relentlessly constant mental voices in my head about how this could be the only time me and my friends could spend the time together now that school is over, I said why not.

Oh boy. But if I have known how the party goes, I wish I wouldn’t have turned up at all. The party started off with a contest about Speaking Good English, where some unlucky hand-picked contestants have to go on stage and correct singlish sentences into standard English. I mean, come on give me a break. It’s ironic enough that the holidays promise no more studies of any kind and now we’re stuck in this club, learning General English.

The music wasn’t that particularly alighting too. It was pretty dull and unlively throughout and to me, most of the people just dance just for the sake of being in a club. In fact, I was more amazed by the fluorescent lights and that fascinating machine which sprays cold steam sporadically throughout.

Oh and don’t worry. I had pure Coke for drink. I was brought up by my parents that the wines and beers are ‘devil’ drinks and always had pictures of Satans producing them from their sharp-toothed mouths last time.

But after all this party, I’ll still be the decent guy I was. This is just a one-night thing.

And now the future schedules. Let see.. I have a professional 11v11 soccer match, with a referee officiating and the normal period of 90 minutes with 2 halves playing on a regular-size field, coming up on the 7th. Woohoo.

And oh, I forgot to mention. I’m taking up courses to be a Student Leader in school. Not just because of the meagre CCA points they offer but my job would be to welcome the new batch of Ngee Ann-ians [is that how people in Ngee Ann call themselves?] to feel at home. So it’s basically mingling and having fun and dirty games and crazy times with the newbies is what we’re about. I went to the trial in the first camp, and apparently I passed because they called me back for a return to the second camp on the 9th to 11th..

And one of the senior Student Leaders is worth checking out. She’s so cute, OMG. :)
